1. Be Unique
Creating a unique design isn’t all about avoiding imitation, but also about designing something out-of-the-box. It’s tempting to just throw an industry icon on the page, but it’s important to think creatively.
2. Logo Should Reflect The Brand
The logo need to reach a specific audience. It is important that you are up-to-date with modern design techniques, but it is more important that you are familiar with all the brand features, and above all – that you know what the meaning of your logo is.
3. The Importance Of Color
Color is an element which cannot be ignored by the designers at any stage of logo designing. Different colors have different meanings in various situations. For example we know that the meaning of red light is to stop and we are conditioned to stop. Similarly, pink color clothes are associated to girls and blue to boys.
4. Logo Elements
A logo consists of two elements a wordmark and a symbol. Choosing the right font and size is a much more difficult task than most people understand. Typical fonts should be avoided so your work would not look amateur.
5. Don’t Expect Instant Success
Logos won’t become instantly iconic, even if you’ve designed the most beautiful combination of vectors. It depends on the product’s success and the market in which it exists. It’s important to be patient and not rush to make changes with your design just because you haven’t gotten the reception you initially expected.
